Florida Test Success was created out of a simple truth: too many hardworking people walk into the Florida construction licensing exams unprepared—not because they didn’t try, but because no one showed them how to study the right way. While each student is different, Florida Test Success recognizes a significant number of student prospects have been out of the classroom for an extended period of time. For others, English may not be their primary language. And others may see themselves as slow or even poor learners. Founded by Fay Bamond, affectionately known as Miss Fay, a licensed Florida Building Contractor with over two decades of industry and instructional experience, Florida Test Success delivers focused, small group and one-on-one tutoring and practical exam prep for both Division 1 and Division 2 contractor licenses. About the Founder and Lead Instructor
Miss Fay
Miss Fay Bamond is a licensed Florida Building Contractor (since 2004), a Real Estate Broker Associate, and a former developer, mortgage and title business owner. She holds a degree in Mass Communications with a minor in Education from Florida State University, and she has spent decades working within the construction, real estate, and finance industries.
Miss Fay doesn’t just understand how to build a structure—she understands how to run a business. That’s what makes her uniquely qualified to teach the Business & Finance Exam. Most importantly, Miss Fay teaches differently than any other instructor in the industry. She created a unique system for you to follow to pass your exam, and she is so confident that it can work for you, that she had the system copywritten with the US Copyright Office. After successfully training thousands of students, when formerly with 1 Exam Prep, Miss Fay decided to launch her own school, Florida Test Success. Here we are doing things differently—more personal, more effective, and more focused on helping students pass with purpose.

In 2020, Kathleen earned her contractor’s license, further enhancing her ability to guide clients through every step of the restoration process. Having gone through the licensing process himself, he knows the challenges tradesmen face when preparing for the Class A, B, and Mechanical state exams. His mission is to guide the next generation of HVAC professionals, providing the knowledge, strategies, and confidence they need to pass their exams and build successful careers in the industry.
Terry Pittman, PhD

I’m a Florida Certified Residential and Building Contractor with 50 years of experience in the construction industry — from hands-on work in the field to managing multi-million-dollar commercial projects.
Currently, I serve as a Commercial Project Manager, where I oversee complex builds from start to finish. I know the Florida construction code, licensing process, and business regulations inside and out — and now I help others master them too.
As an online tutor, I specialize in preparing students for the Florida contractor licensing exams, including:
