About the Mandatory Florida Business and Finance Exam

The Florida Business and Finance Exam is one of the core licensing exams required for ALL contractor applicants in the state of Florida. It’s designed to test your knowledge of business practices, financial management, and regulatory compliance—essentially, everything you need to responsibly run a construction business in Florida. There are several varying formats dependent on whether you are applying as an Electrical Contractors, Pool Servicing Contractor or any other Division I or Division II trade. In addition to the Business & Finance exam, a passing score is required on a specific trade related test(s) to qualifying for licensing. There is no circumstance under which an applicant can exempt from taking and passing the Business and Finance Exam, although exemptions to subsequent trade exams can apply based on specific college degrees earned or NASCLA certification.

I cannot express my gratitude to Miss Fay for the Roofing trade knowledge. I called 2 ½ weeks before my test and requested a private class.  You fit me in and gave me all I needed for the test. The system you have is spot on. I did the work you told me to do. I was nervous to go so quickly  but walked out with a 81.25%

I highly recommend instructor Fay Bamond .I tried to prepare myself the 1st month by just reading the books end doing self-tests but soon became overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information I thought I was going to nave to memorize. Then for 4 months I participated with Fay’s study group where she taught a unique approach. Not trying to memorize answers but learn pathways of now to find the answers. I joined both weekly and monthly classes and  just followed the program. I booked Fay for some private tutoring which really helped me sharpen and evaluate my approach to the test, that was money will worth spending and I’m sure helped improved my test score. The Florida test is not an easy test to pass but this program works if you work it. I know because I recently took the exam and passed it the first time with an excellent score.”

“I started With the Zoom classes for the Business and Finance exam with Faye.  She does an amazing job of helping you learn how to use the books and quickly be able navigate through text. It is important to stay engaged in the class and follow along each step. After about 3 months of studying 12-40 hours a week. I took the exam and passed on my first attempt.”
