About the Mandatory Florida Business and Finance Exam

The Florida Business and Finance Exam is one of the core licensing exams required for ALL contractor applicants in the state of Florida. It’s designed to test your knowledge of business practices, financial management, and regulatory compliance—essentially, everything you need to responsibly run a construction business in Florida. There are several varying formats dependent on whether you are applying as an Electrical Contractors, Pool Servicing Contractor or any other Division I or Division II trade. In addition to the Business & Finance exam, a passing score is required on a specific trade related test(s) to qualifying for licensing. There is no circumstance under which an applicant can exempt from taking and passing the Business and Finance Exam, although exemptions to subsequent trade exams can apply based on specific college degrees earned or NASCLA certification.

“I attended the Business class and Fay Bamond is a gift from God. I passed my test the first time around and I felt as though I gained so much more than just a passing score. If you’re considering the Business and Finance class, just “FOLLOW THE PATH”. It will make sense in the long run.”

Mr. Deveaux

“Ms. Fay’s system of charting the questions, truly taught me to understand my textbooks and gave me the confidence to know where the answers would be located. This allowed me to complete my tests with hours remaining leaving plenty of time to double check my answers and ACE my Exam!”

Terry Nichols

“My exam success would noy be possible without Fay Bamond, instructor  for  my county and state exams. Fay is truly the  best instructor and motivator I’ve ever had in any test taking endeavors. Fay is dialed into the courses unlike anyone else and  knows exactly how to synthesize an enormous amount of material into a cohesive framework. It is very rare to find an instructor like Fay Bamond who know exactly what tools you’ll need to pass the exams and more importantly how to utilize these tools in the exams. I highly recommend Fay Bamond, the best instructor I’ve ever had”.
